This is a very symbolic necklace to honour the Triple Goddess; created with beautiful Red Garnet, Rainbow Moonstone and Black Obsidian crystal beads and a finely shaped Crescent Moon Pendant featuring the waxing, full and waning moon symbols.
 
The Triple Goddess or Triple Moon or Maiden/Mother/Crone represents the cyclic stages in every woman's life. They can also be seen as the Waxing Crescent, Full and Waning Crescents of the lunar cycle. Hecate the ancient Greek Goddess is a Triple Goddess as is the Celtic Morrigán.
 
Rainbow Moonstone, Red Garnet and Black Obsidian represent these three aspects perfectly:
 
~ Rainbow Moonstone for The Maiden: feminine intuition, inception, enchantment, lucid dreaming 
~ Red Garnet for The Mother: fertility, self confidence, personal power, devotion, sexuality, life
~ Black Obsidian for The Crone: wisdom, inner truth, self control the ending of a cycle 
 
The pendant is made from solid Pewter with the waxing crescent, full moon and waning crescent symbols carefully stamped in
 
The total length of the necklace from end to end measures 46 cm, with the pendant measuring 2 cm long by 1cm. All fixtures and fittings are made from Sterling Silver.

*A Word About Gift Wrapping*
 
I carefully gift wrap each order before I send it out. Each piece of jewellery is first placed into a natural jute bag or recycled card gift box containing a personalised hand written small note addressed to the recipient. This I then wrap in tissue paper, tied together with a pretty ribbon or cord, and will often include a sprig of dried flowers or a small piece of West Cork Sea Glass.
